The Ukrainian school for refugees was among the top three in the world

The “First Ukrainian School” in Poland, founded by the “Unbreakable Ukraine” Foundation, was included in the top three best schools in the world according to the World’s Best School Prizes 2024 in the “overcoming difficulties” category. The founder of the foundation, Victoria Osadcha, informed RFE/RL about this.

“World’s Best School Prizes 2024 is a prestigious educational award, the finalists of which were selected from thousands of applications from schools in one hundred countries of the world,” she said.

The “First Ukrainian School” in Warsaw began working for the sixth week of a full-scale invasion. At that time, her students were several dozen children. Later, the school was opened in Krakow and Wrocław. Currently, a total of 1,500 students who fled the war study there. Teachers are also war refugees.

This year, the school started teaching according to the Ukrainian and Polish educational programs.

The project “You as already told” about this school in its participation in the world educational competition.

The students celebrated the announcement that the school was among the top three schools of The World’s Best School Prize 2024 with a patriotic flash mob.

On October 28, the organizers of the award will announce the winner, who will receive 50,000 dollars for the development of his school.
