The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi told about this at a closed meeting with journalists, Glavkom writes.
“Just a month ago, the length of the line of active hostilities was 1,253 kilometers. Currently, it has decreased thanks to the actions of our troops,” he said, indicating that the front line is 1,218,000 km long.
Oleksandr Syrsky noted that despite the advance, the Russians have daily losses of more than a thousand people, so he calls efforts to advance at the front a “worthless result.”
The Commander-in-Chief disclosed the rate of advancement of the Russian army according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) – they reach 1.5-4.5 km per month. For comparison, according to combat statutes, the pace of an attack when a prepared defense is breached is approximately 1–1.5 km/hour.
Syrsky emphasized that the Russian terrorist army continues its offensive, therefore the country should strengthen its defense capabilities and strengthen its army in order to repel the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation in the future.
