Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine reported suspicion of the former President of the International Airlines of Ukraine (UIA) in deliberate tax evasion in particularly large amounts.
The total amount of unpaid funds is over UAH 164.5 million.
According to the investigation, during the implementation of international and domestic flights, the airline has concluded several lease agreements on the lease of aircraft with a Cyprus company.
The UIA preliminary leadership referred to the Convention between Ukraine and Cyprus on the avoidance of double taxation and applied a zero preferential rate instead of 10% provided for income.
Recall that three NABU employees are suspected of committing heavy accidents.
Also, the Colonel of the Armed Forces is suspected of spending more than UAH 2.9 million.
