The Swedish national team learned terrible news before the match with Ukraine

Forward of the English “Liverpool” and the Swedish national team Alexander Isak will miss several months due to a terrible injury sustained in the championship game.

On Saturday, December 20, the 26-year-old appeared in the second half, scored a goal and was forced to leave the field due to injury. In the near future, the Swede will undergo an in-depth medical examination, based on the results of which the exact diagnosis and recovery period will be known.

However, according to Sky Sports, Isaac broke his leg and was out for several months. Liverpool have already begun the search for players who could replace the forward and join the Merseysiders during the winter transfer window.

Terrible news also affected the Swedish national team, which has to play against the Ukrainian team in the semifinals of the World Cup 2026 qualification playoffs, which will take place on March 26, 2026.

Isaac was one of the leaders and most important players for Graham Potter – Alexander has 16 goals and seven assists for the national team.

🚨 Liverpool could now choose to activate Antoine Semenyo’s £65M release clause in January following Alexander Isak’s injury setback.
