As it is noted, in January 2025, a law enforcement officer at the wheel of the car traveled Cherkasy in the dark with an excess of allowed speed. She shot down a local resident in 1958, who crossed the road in an unspecified place. The victim died at the scene from the injuries.
According to the experts, the victim was drunk, but the driver of the signs of alcohol and narcotic intoxication was not detected.
The involvement reported suspicion of violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 8 years.
