After the imposition of sanctions against the Dniprovsky businessman Vadim Ermolaev in December 2023, his companies repeatedly received the renewal of special permits for mineral production.
The most significant was the story of the Korostyshiv Quarry, which is licensed to produce gabbro-laboundry in the Zhytomyr region.
Initially, after the imposition of sanctions of the NSDC, the State Geogadra stopped the special permit №3297. However, two weeks later, changes in the Unified State Register have appeared: his daughter Sophia Kononenko became the beneficiary of the company instead of Yermolaev.
On the basis of this change, March 14, 2024 was renewed.
At the end of April, a notary from Poltava region Lyudmila Rusnyak, on whose behalf amendments to the Register were made, she appealed to the Ministry of Justice with a complaint. She stated that she did not take any actions with the EDR, and her electronic key was used by third parties.
The Ministry of Justice declared these changes invalid, and as early as May 2, the State Geogadar stopped the special permit for the second time.
However, the situation changed again at the end of June 2024. The NSDC revised the sanction decision, and the license of PJSC “Korostyshivsky Quarry” was no longer mentioned in the list of restrictions.
Two days later, the State Geogadar renewed the permission for the extraction of fossils, despite the fact that Yermolaev himself became the final beneficiary of the company again.
According to the SBU, Vadim Ermolaev has been Cyprus citizenship since 2018. His wine-and -ed business in Crimea was re-registered under Russian laws, and taxes were paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
In addition to Korostyshiv career, in the early 2024, special permits of two more Ermolaev companies were frozen – “Streams” and “Trendes System”.
However, these companies later achieved their permits through changes in sanctions and lawsuits.
Recall that sanctions against businessman Yermolaev influenced Viktor Yushchenko’s gas business.
