In the first training, the best time was shown by the McLaren driver and the main contender for the championship title, Lando Norris. The Briton was ahead of Max Verstappen by 0.008 seconds. In the standings, the Red Bull pilot is behind by 12 points.
But Oscar Piastri, who remains in the race for the title, missed the first practice – his place was taken by young Pato O’Ward for one practice.
In the second practice, Norris was the best again, but this time he was already 0.3 seconds ahead of Verstappen.
The situation is even worse in Piastre. Oscar showed only the 11th time with a lag of 0.6 seconds from his partner.
We note an interesting result of Oliver Berman on Haas. The pilot became 4th and, which is rare for racers, could not be satisfied with the car in negotiations with the engineer: “The car is simply incredible. How is it possible that everything is so cool.”
