The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has created a special commission that studies the situation with the transfer of valuable military specialists to other branches and types of troops, in particular to the infantry.
The creation of the commission was announced in the communications department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They said that the purpose of the commission is to prevent the transfer of military personnel “in scarce specialties, which can significantly affect the combat effectiveness of Air Force units.” In particular, they mean those who maintain equipment, as well as those who learned to use Western weapons abroad.
The decision to prevent the transfer of such specialists has already been made, the Air Force assures. And the commission is now checking whether there were any violations. If they are discovered, they are promised to be corrected.
At the same time, it was recalled that the Air Force has been strengthening brigades of other branches and types of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the hottest areas of the front for more than a year, and “within the limits of their capabilities, they destroy the enemy with all available weapons.”
The scandal surrounding this issue arose after Sergeant Vitaly “Bart” Horzhevskyi, who serves in the 114th Air Force Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published an appeal on behalf of aircraft technicians and service personnel. He reported mass cases of transfer of specialists to the infantry.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces reacted to this. There they recognized that due to the lack of people at the front, some categories of soldiers, after training in training centers, could be sent to strengthen the Ground and Airborne Assault Forces. However, this does not apply to specialists in high-tech specialties and those who were trained on foreign weapons.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the commander of the Air Force to ensure that valuable specialists are not sent to infantry units.
