The delegation of the deputies of the Committee on European Affairs of the Slovak Parliament for the first time came to Ukraine and held meetings with Ukrainian officials, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada reports.
The delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Committee Yuray Ferenchak from the Voice Coalition Party. The visit began with the honor of the fallen soldiers near the wall of memory of the Michael’s Golden -Domed Cathedral, after which Slovak deputies met with the leadership of Parliament and members of the profile committees.
Slovak politicians have expressed support for Ukraine’s European integration course, interest in community cooperation and confirmed their willingness to assist Ukraine in the EU integration process based on their own experience.
The delegation also visited the places of blows of Russian rockets and drones in Kiev. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Integration of Ukraine into the EU Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze noted that Slovak guests were struck by the ruins and human stories they got acquainted with. She added that a visit would help the delegation to continue to argue in its countries the need for pressure on Russia to force it to peace, not to negotiate.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Shosof attended Kyiv on a working visit. Together with him, a new head of the Lithuanian Government Inga Ruginne arrived in the Ukrainian capital, for whom it is the first foreign trip in office.
