Ukrainian silver medalist of the 2024 Olympic Games in gymnastics Ilya Kovtun is considering the option of changing sports citizenship, Tribuna.com reports.
According to the source, the 21-year-old athlete and his coach Iryna Gorbacheva have a desire to perform under the flag of Croatia, where they are staying throughout 2024. Kovtun did not return to Ukraine after the 2024 Olympic Games.
It is noted that the final decision on the change of sports citizenship will be made by the end of 2024.
