According to CNN, the Senate voted 60 for and 40 against.

In the previous 13 times, the Senate could not agree to the bill, because the Democratic Party blocked the vote, insisting on increasing subsidies for health care. However, this time a group of Democrats broke through the party blockade and voted together with the Republicans to advance the bill.

The deal includes three full bills to fund ministries, including the Department of Agriculture, through the end of the next fiscal year, as well as a resolution to continue funding the rest of the agencies at current levels until Jan. 30. If the Senate ultimately passes the amended bill, the package of measures must be approved by the House of Representatives and sent to President Donald Trump for his signature. This process may take several days.

For his part, Trump said that the shutdown in the United States is coming to an end.

“It looks like we’re getting close to the end of the shutdown. You’ll find out very soon,” he told reporters.

According to the sources, according to the agreement reached with the group of Democrats, the Republicans agreed to hold a vote in December on the issue of continuing subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. These subsidies have been a priority for Democrats during the funding battle.

The resolution would also reverse at least some of the mass layoffs of federal employees carried out by the Trump administration during the shutdown and provide funding for the Supplemental Food Assistance Program for a year.

Shutdown in the USA – newsAxios previously reported that the US has suspended more than $5 billion in arms exports to NATO allies and Ukraine due to the shutdown.

Sources of the publication clarified that it is about the supply of such weapons as AMRAAM missiles, Aegis and HIMARS combat systems for Denmark, Croatia and Poland. It is noted that the final destination of the export is not exactly known, but “the sale of arms to NATO allies is often transferred to help Ukraine.”
