On June 26, the Pechersk Court of Kyiv continued until August 23, a preventive measure to the serviceman Maxim Bobille, who is suspected of ill -treatment with the Ukrainian military in the Russian captivity.
About it reports “ Public ”.
The suspect denies all the charges against his address.
“The suspect Bobilav denies his guilt. He says that he did not commit any unlawful acts against the victims, did not collaborate with the Russians and consider him “inappropriate” to keep him in custody. According to Bobille, the victims of the victims have personal motives. It is worth noting that the victims did not appear at the meeting, ”the message reads.
Bobilav noted that he had served in the army in the post of driver. The contract, he said, continues and in the case of justification will continue the service in the 35th brigade of the 137 battalion.
Prosecutor Dmitry Martsin insisted on continued detention. Among the risks, he called the fact that Bobillev’s sister lives abroad and previously the suspect allegedly reported that after his service he wanted to go to her.
Lawyer Roman Bracilo asked for a closed meeting, as Bobilav’s honor and dignity would be touched. The prosecutor opposed this and held the meeting in the open mode. If the investigation proves guilty, then Bobilav threatens from 8 to 12 years in prison.
After captivity, he spent only one day.
It is known that Maxim Bobilev returned to Ukraine from the Russian captivity during the exchange of July 17, 2024.
Former prisoners of war Victor Leleka Lakhno began to write on the social network that one of the liberated, namely Bobilav, cooperated with the administration of the colony, where the prisoners were kept and tortured. And he did not want to exchange and refused Ukrainian citizenship. Lakhno also published other people’s testimony.
On July 18, 2024, the SBU registered criminal proceedings. Subsequently, Bobilav was detained on suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war – abuse with prisoners of war committed by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons. Since then, he has been in custody.
Bobilav was born in 2002 in Kherson. He is a sailor and a company driver of the 137 battalion of a separate Marine Corps of the Navy of Ukraine. He was captured by the Russian captivity on February 24, 2022 on the territory of the village of Chaplinka of Kherson region. It is believed that from July 28, 2022 to June 21, 2024 Bobilav was kept in the former Kalinin correctional colony in the occupied city of Gorlovka, Donetsk region. In suspicion of Bobilav, four episodes and five victims who have already testified.
Recall that a number of exchanges took place between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, more than six thousand bodies of fallen soldiers have been returned recently, but even here the aggressor country has shown cynicism. Among the bodies of our dead were the bodies of the Russian military.
During the last exchange of bodies of the dead, Russia handed over the body of its own serviceman to Ukraine, giving it for a Ukrainian warrior.
We have already reported that the United States welcome the last exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
