The lawsuit of Verbitsky became a reaction to the conclusions of the NAPC, which revealed signs of acquisition of unreasonable assets in the amount of about UAH 29 million. This was the basis for violation of criminal proceedings by the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). In addition, Verbitsky was released from the prosecutor’s office after accusations of illegal enrichment.

The value of this property is much exceeding the official income of the girl, which raises questions about sources of financing. Dmitry Verbitsky himself lived in the same cottage town. This raises suspicion of the possible involvement of the official in the acquisition of this property.
