“During the security measures, there may be restrictions on passage and passage through the streets of Kyiv, verification of citizens’ documents and inspection of cars, the Security Service warned”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“Measures take place in cooperation with the Department of State Security of Ukraine, the National Police and the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The goal is to check the anti-sabotage protection of state facilities, as well as to strengthen the security of the capital’s residents and persons subject to state security,” the message reads.
The SBU noted that as part of the measures, they conduct an inspection of the territory and individual premises (in particular, apartments, offices) to identify prohibited items and carry out checks on citizens who are in the territory of the government quarter of Kyiv.
During the security measures, it is possible to restrict passage and passage through the streets of Kyiv, check citizens’ documents and inspect cars, the Security Service warned, noting that the measures are carried out taking into account the legal regime of martial law.
Martial law has been introduced in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, the day of the full-scale invasion of Russia. For security reasons, access to the government quarter in Kyiv, where key state institutions are located, is restricted. This is not the first time that the SBU conducts such security measures.
