The Chat Bot of the Security Service of Ukraine “Sleeping FSBshnik” received more than 5 thousand reports of attempts to recruit by Russian special services.

“Since May last year, the SBU has encountered a new serious challenge – it is to counteract the recruitment of our youth, teenagers and not only, from hostile special services. They try to involve them in subversive activities, in particular in the blasting of military facilities, the arson of the buildings of the Tax Code and the track, ”Semykina said.
According to her, over 600 people who have been victims of recruitment have been detained over the past one and a half years. She also noted that the motivation of published is often financial. Semykina warned that accepting proposals from hostile special services can lead to serious consequences. “If a person, whether a child or an adult, accepts a proposal to carry out a hostile plan, it is a state betrayal. This can lead to serious consequences, until death, ”the adviser emphasized. Such actions are punished – up to 15 years in prison or even life imprisonment.
In addition, Alexander Melnichenko, a representative of the SBU Cyber Security Department, emphasized the importance of information war. According to him, Russia is actively financing information campaigns against Ukraine, spending at least $ 4.6 billion. He also noted that one of the priorities for Russia is the disruption of mobilization in Ukraine, in particular through information campaigns on social networks that discredit this process.
