The SBU detained the head of the MSEK, who demanded a bribe from a wounded soldier of the Armed Forces

The Security Service of Ukraine and investigators of the National Police exposed the head of one of the inter-district medical and social examination centers in Kirovohrad Oblast, who is also a deputy of the city council, in corruption schemes.

According to the case file, the official demanded 2,000 US dollars from the wounded soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the lifelong establishment of the second disability group.

As the investigation established, the Ukrainian defender was seriously wounded during the fighting for Chasiv Yar in the spring of 2023. Then fragments of a Russian guided aerial bomb injured a soldier, after which the left side of his body was paralyzed.

However, the head of MSEK still demanded a bribe from the military for registration of status. The law enforcement officers documented the criminal activity of the official and arrested her “red handed” when she received the entire amount of the bribe, the special service notes.

Currently, the person involved has been notified of the suspicion of accepting an offer, promise, or receiving an illegal benefit from an official.

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for her is being resolved.
