Details: According to the UP source, this is a resident of Cherkasy Oleksandr Neimetto whom the SBU declared suspicion in July 2022.

The special service reports that the attacker was hiding in the UOC MP monastery in Bukovina and was planning an illegal border crossing in the direction of the European Union. He was detained near the monastery.

A 20-year-old resident of Cherkassy published posts in support of the occupiers on Instagram after the start of the full-scale war.

In his comments and publications, the attacker praised the protégé of the Kremlin, the ruler of Russian Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the militant groups under his command fighting against Ukraine.

At the same time, the provocateur spread fakes about Ukrainian soldiers and called on them to lay down their arms before the occupiers.

In July 2022, the perpetrator received a suspicion from the SBU for h. 3 Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

A day before the preventive measure was chosen, the suspect secretly left his home and began hiding in the local women’s monastery of the UOC MP.

Later, the suspect moved to Ternopil and then Chernivtsi regions. In the western regions of Ukraine, he also hid in the churches of the UOC MP, where in exchange for “shelter” he worked as a handyman.

According to the available data, the perpetrator was preparing to flee to Romania from Bukovyna. To do this, he began to actively study a foreign language and develop “routes” for illegal border crossing.

Currently, he has been remanded in custody with the possibility of bail, the prosecutor’s office notes.
