The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police foiled an attempt by Russian invaders to stage a terrorist attack against the Defense Forces in the south of Kharkiv region. A Russian agent who was preparing to detonate a car of the Armed Forces with the help of an improvised explosive device was detained in advance in Lozova.
The SBU reports this on its Telegram channel.
The attacker planned to remotely activate the explosives at the moment when Ukrainian soldiers approached the mined transport. The SBU employees detected the enemy’s intentions in advance and detained the agent while trying to plant explosives under a military vehicle.
As the investigation established, the executor of the RF order turned out to be a 53-year-old local unemployed man who came to the attention of the occupiers in Telegram channels in search of “easy earnings”.
Under the curator’s instructions, the agent first tracked down a company car, and then made his own SVP, which he intended to stuff with nuts to enhance the striking effect. During the search, a ready-made SVP disguised as a fire extinguisher, other components for explosives, as well as a smartphone with evidence of working against the enemy were seized from the detainee.

The perpetrator is in custody without bail. He faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
We will remind that a resident of Alexandria was sentenced to 6 years in prison for setting fire to a military vehicle commissioned by the Russian Federation.
The police in Mykolaiv delayed underage military personnel recruited by the Russian special services. Teenagers aged 14, 16 and 13 set two vehicles on fire for money.
In Odesa, the Security Service together with the National Police delayed a group of young men who set fire to military vehicles. The attackers acted on the order of the Russian FSB.
