The Security Service of Ukraine thwarted an attempt at the railway in the Rivne region, which was tried to carry out a 23-year-old unemployed resident of Lviv region at the request of Russian special services.

Literally OGP: “In January 2025, a man, to fulfill the task of the special services of the Russian Federation, came to the city of Sarny (Rivne region – ed.), To blow up the railway tracks of the nodal station, through which echelons with military equipment for the Armed Forces pass … Completion was prevented by law enforcement.”
Details: According to the SBU, the man was seized “on the hot” near the track, when he installed an explosive under the railway canvas. Earlier, he was already held accountable for the desecration of the graves of the Ukrainian military.
Investigators found that the Russians recruited him because of his commitment to Russian ideology and the desire to leave for the Russian Federation, which he repeatedly declared on social networks. The invaders planned to blow up remotely.
It was also found that he performed another task – he collected information about military facilities in Lviv.
The attacker was taken into custody. He was suspected of treason and diversion in martial law. The man is threatened with life imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
