Searches initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police confirmed the information about actions within the framework of criminal proceedings related to the illegal deprivation of liberty of citizens.
The SBU notes that the searches are carried out in strict compliance with the law within the framework of criminal proceedings due to the fact of illegal deprivation of liberty of citizens of Ukraine (Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
“The SBU and the National Police are conducting authorized searches of the management and employees of the Transcarpathian Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support. The measures are carried out in strict compliance with the law within the framework of criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal deprivation of liberty of citizens of Ukraine (Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the SBU notes.
Transcarpathian TCC and JV has repeatedly found itself at the epicenter of scandals. Not so long ago, the human rights commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, reported on a case of illegal detention of one of the citizens, which led to physical violence against him. The center denies all accusations and emphasizes the legality of its actions, but the situation with the current searches may lead to new investigations and public outcry.
Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov stated that cases where territorial recruitment centers (TCC) used force against citizens are less than 1%.
In Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district territorial of the recruitment and social support center (TCC and SP) on December 25, a man died of a heart attack and was taken to clarify his credentials.
Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported that this year the number of applications regarding the work of military personnel of the TCC and SP has increased significantly.
