Details: DBR employees are establishing the circumstances of the fatal traffic accident that occurred on the evening of January 25, 2026 in the village of Sokilnyky in the Lviv region.

It is noted that an incumbent People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the “Servant of the People” party died as a result of the collision. The SBI does not name the deputy, but it is obviously Orest Salamakh.
Literally: “According to preliminary data, around 6:15 p.m., an ATV driven by a deputy drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a shuttle vehicle. There were no injuries among the shuttle bus passengers.
As a result of the collision, the People’s Deputy received serious, life-threatening injuries. After hospitalization, he died in the hospital.”
Details: The issue of entering information into the EYDR and opening proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road safety rules that caused death or serious bodily injury.
Currently, SBI employees are conducting primary investigative actions: inspecting the scene of the incident, interviewing witnesses, seizing physical evidence. Procedural management is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
