Russian troops continue to advance to the north of Kurakhovo, Donetsk region, in particular, to the western part of the village of Berestki.

This is stated in a new report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Analysts also analyzed the statement of Ukrainian military commentator Kostyantyn Mashovets, who reported that Russian forces captured 60% of Kurakhovo. According to geolocation data reviewed by ISW, only 43% of the settlement has been captured so far.

In addition, the occupiers continued offensive operations in the direction of Vugledar, but there were no confirmed advances. Attacks were observed northeast of Vugledar near Romanivka, Elizavetivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka; to the north of Vugledar near Hannivka and Vesely Hay; and to the northwest of Vugledar — near Sukhoi Yal, Trudovoy, Uspenivka, Rozlyv, and Kostiantynopolsky.

It is noted that for the offensive, the Russian forces are using two assault groups formed from units of the 8th Combined Arms Army and the 39th Motorized Rifle Brigade to pin down the Ukrainian forces south of Kurakhovo.

ISW also notes that on November 27, Ukrainian troops regained their positions in Toretsk, Donetsk region. According to geolocation video materials published on November 26, it is about positions in the central part of Toretsk. Russian troops carried out offensive operations near Toretsk itself; to the northeast of Toretsk, near Diliivka; and to the west of Toretsk — near Shcherbinivka.

The occupiers also managed to advance slightly to the southeast and south of Pokrovsk, in particular to the west of Krutoy Yar and in the western part of Petrivka.

According to Reuters data from November 26, Russian troops set a weekly record for capturing territories since the beginning of 2022, advancing by 235 square kilometers.

On November 27, a representative of the operational-strategic group of troops Khortytsia” Nazar Voloshyn stated that 625 people remain in Kurakhovo, Donetsk region, and there are no children among them.
