The Russian Federation has condemned a Ukrainian to 13 years in the case of an attempt on Russian head of Crimea

In the Russian Rostov-on-Don, the Southern District Military Court sentenced a 51-year-old native of Zaporizhzhya region Vladimir Bodnar to 13 years in prison in the case of attempted on Russian head of occupied Crimea Sergei Aksenov. This was reported on June 23 by the media -isa with reference to the court press service.

For the first three years he should be in prison, the other 10 – in the strict regime. He also was assigned a fine of 500 thousand rubles.

Bodnar was charged with articles on the preparation for a terrorist attack and illegal trafficking of explosives. According to the investigation, Bodnar and other “opponents of his” (Oksana Shevchenko and Vladimir Ananiev) planned to attempt Aksenov.

The Russian court claims that in 2023 they hid an explosive device in the car, after which in May they got into the territory of Crimea “for hiding equipment” in garage boxing. In January 2024, Bodnar, according to the investigation, went from Simferopol to another occupied Ukrainian city of Genichesk, Kherson region, to pick up three packages with seven mobile phones, as well as a detonator.

Shevchenko and Ananiev allegedly studied the places where Aksyonov lived and could stay.

All three were detained in February 2024. Oksana Shevchenko was previously sentenced to 10 years in the colony of the general regime and a fine of 500 thousand rubles.

Back in December 2023, the FSB stated that she opened in Crimea a network of agents who allegedly intended to attend the assassination head of the occupation head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov and the chairman of the Crimean Parliament -controlled Vladimir Konstantinov.
