The Russian Federation has announced that it will not participate in the second “world summit” proposed by Zelensky

The Russian Federation has declared that they will not participate in the second “world summit” proposed by Zelenskyi. Representatives of the Russian Federation will not participate in the “world summit” regarding Ukraine, even if they are invited. Russia is ready for negotiations only taking into account the “situation on the ground” and its interests.”, — write on: unn.ua

Representatives of the Russian Federation will not go to any “world summit”, which acts as a continuation of the June meeting in Switzerland, even if they are invited there. This was stated by the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, reports UNN.

Previously, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, previously suggested inviting Russian representatives to such a summit, possibly before the end of this year.

“Representatives of Russia have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the “Bürgenstock process” and are not going to participate.

This process itself has nothing to do with the settlement… We will not participate in such summits,” Zacharova said in her reply to the media.

At the same time, Zakharova noted that the Russian Federation does not give up “the political and diplomatic resolution of the crisis, they are ready to discuss truly serious proposals that take into account the situation “on the ground”, geopolitical realities and the corresponding initiative formulated by President Putin on June 14.”

“Without Russia and taking into account its interests, it is impossible to achieve a fair and stable settlement,” Zakharova summed up.

Let’s add

According to the BBC, Russian diplomats call the illegal annexations of Ukrainian territories “the situation on the ground” and “geopolitical realities”. On June 14, Putin named the preliminary conditions for the start of negotiations: the withdrawal of all Ukrainian troops from the part of the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions that Russia does not control, as well as the refusal to join NATO.
