OGP clarifies that as a result of the impact 12 servicemen and 7 civilians died. Another 36 servicemen were also injured.
The commander was notified of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — negligent attitude to military service committed under martial law. The issue of selecting a preventive measure – detention in custody is being resolved.
Literally: “The SBI emphasizes: the suspicion relates exclusively to the decision that led to tragic consequences. No merit or previous combat experience of the commander can justify ignoring security requirements.
In wartime, mass gatherings, ceremonies or awards in areas of possible missile danger are inadmissible. Commanders bear personal responsibility for the life and safety of subordinates“.
