The City Council of Chuguyev reported on January 19, 2026 that despite the complete blackout, the heat and water supply systems are currently operating in normal mode thanks to advance preparation and the use of autonomous power sources.
The mayor of the city, Halyna Minayeva, assured that medical institutions, social institutions and administrative services continue to perform their functions as usual. Communication services in the city remain stable, and municipal services ensure garbage collection according to schedule, despite the difficult security and energy situation. Energy workers have already started emergency restoration work, trying to restore light in the townspeople’s homes as soon as possible.
