The Russian army attacked a border community of the Sumy region with a drone, the regional prosecutor’s office reported on November 27.

“On November 27, 2024, around 3:20 p.m., using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy attacked the civilian infrastructure of the village with a drone. Kindergarten of the Khotyn community of Sumy district,” the message reads.

According to the prosecutor’s office, as a result of the attack, a 59-year-old man who was near his house was injured.

Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions, including the border region of Sumy, with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
