The commander of the 155th Separate Brigade of the Marines of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Sergey Ilyin was killed by a Ukrainian blow on the joint staff. The report of his death on July 10 appeared in the public administration of the Urma district of the Russian Republic of Chuvashia on the social network “VKontakte”.

The administration’s message does not specify that when and where Sergei Ilyin died.

According to Z-channels, Ilyin was killed on July 2 during a strike of the Armed Forces in the Kursk region. At the same time, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy was killed by Major General Mikhail Gudkov, writes Astra Telegram Channel.

General Gudkov was killed in one of the border areas of the Kursk region on July 2, previously reported at the Ministry of Defense of Russia. According to telegram channels, Gudkov, together with 10 other officers, was hit by the Armed Forces under the command paragraph 155 of the Marine Infantry Brigade in Korenevo. The President of the Russian Federation posthumously awarded Gudkov with the second Medal “Golden Star”.

The Ukrainian authorities previously accused the fighters of the 155th Marine Corps of Military Crimes, including those committed in Bucha, Kyiv region. In addition, in August 2024 and in January 2025, the brigade fighters were accused of beheading several Ukrainian military.
