The union of railways and transport builders of Ukraine appealed to the Verkhovna Rada to support the bill to increase the reserve fund of the state budget by UAH 8 billion for pre -financing Ukrzaliznytsia.
Without additional funding, the railway industry is waiting for a collapse.
The company’s costs are increasing, but the salaries of employees have not increased since April last year and are significantly behind the average in the industry. Current financing does not even cover the basic needs of rail transport.
We will remind, Ukrzaliznytsia has assigned five additional trains.
Also, on July 16, the law on amendments to the state budget was adopted as a basis for financial support for Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.
