The President signed the law on the state budget for 2025 – Shmyhal

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on the state budget for 2025, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in a telegram on Thursday.

“The priority of the estimate remains the protection of our state. Financing of the Security and Defense Forces, procurement and production of weapons, drones and equipment. We are allocating UAH 2.23 trillion for this. UAH 420.9 billion will be allocated to social protection, UAH 217 billion to health care, UAH 199 billion to education,” he wrote.

The Prime Minister reminded that in general, expenses for the next year are planned at the level of 3.6 trillion hryvnias, revenues – 2.05 trillion.

On the website of the Verkhovna Rada, in the card of the approved law on the state budget-2025, there is currently no information about the signature of the president.

Earlier, Denys Shmyhal said that the president will sign the law on the state budget, as well as laws on changes to the Tax and Budget Code “in the coming days”.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft state budget for 2025 in its entirety on November 19. In particular, it envisages record expenditures at the level of 3.94 trillion hryvnias, of which defense expenditures amount to 2.22 trillion hryvnias.

In October, the deputies voted for the draft law on increasing taxes. Subsequently, the parliament rejected all resolutions that blocked its signing.
