The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The head of state thanked Qatar for its participation in the first Peace Summit, mediation in the return home of 53 children illegally deported by Russia from Ukraine, and providing them with the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani agreed to actively work together in the future for the return of Ukrainian children forcibly displaced by the Russian Federation.
Cooperation to help Syria was also discussed. The President noted that Ukraine remains the guarantor of global food security and has already sent 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria. The head of state offered Qatar to support the Food from Ukraine humanitarian initiative to help the Syrian people with food.
