The National Police spoke about two main methods of fraud that can affect people who want to issue a payment of thousands of winter “eSupport”. Oleksandr Ulyanenkov, the head of the department for combating types of online frauds of the cyber police department of the National Police, told about them. Two main schemes are fraudulent SMS or calls. “The potential victim will receive a message in the messenger, where he will have to register or pass some kind of survey. Everything will come down to providing his financial details for, allegedly, clarification of data for assistance registration,” said Ulyanenkov. Advertising: The second scenario – calls to citizens of Ukraine, where in order to “confirm” the correct details of assistance, fraudsters will try to ask for personal data, especially bank card data. According to him, the police record various cases of fraud every day, including the implementation of illegal actions during the registration of state aid.
