On December 12, the duel for the title of the 2024 world chess champion between the 18-year-old By Hukesh Dommaraju from India and 32-year-old Chinese Ding Lizhen.

Hukesh won the match with a score of 7.5:6.5 and became the youngest world champion. After the victory of Dommaraju, information appeared on the network that the young chess player is a big fan of tennis.

For example, during a game against Dean Ligen, Hukesh played in a shirt with the logo of Roger Federer.

And in an interview, he openly admitted that he is a fan of Novak Djokovic and dreams of meeting him:

“He’s one of the greatest sportsmen, in my opinion, I would love to meet him and do something, like play chess or tennis, just to discuss something with him. It would be great if that happened.”

Hukesh also compares his style of play to the uniqueness of the Big Three and wants to be known worldwide for it.

Also, Gukesh’s father wanted to send him to the tennis section even before Dommaraju learned to play chess.
