On February 10, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine officially ordered an official investigation into three employees of the department.

This is reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The reason for such a decision was the facts published in the media about the presence of expensive real estate in their close relatives.

We are talking about objects in the elite village of Polyanytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, where the popular ski resort “Bukovel” is located.

The material of the media resource Bihus.info became the basis for the reaction of the law enforcement agency. The journalists discovered that relatives of the prosecutors bought real estate, the value of which significantly exceeds their official incomes.

Currently, an official investigation has been launched against three officials: Chechitka O.A., Mykhailyna O.M. and Sinyuk O.V.

According to the journalistic investigation, “the specified acquisitions may not correspond to the level of income shown in the declarations, which requires verification within the limits of the current legislation.”

The inspection should establish whether there were no violations of anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine by the specified persons. In particular, it is about the possible ignoring of restrictions and prohibitions provided by law for civil servants.

The verification process is based on Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Prosecutor’s Office”. In addition, the commission is governed by a special Instruction on the procedure for official investigations of prosecutors.

This allows to ensure a formal procedure and legal purity of future conclusions, which will become the basis for further personnel or criminal decisions.

It will be recalled that the prosecutor’s office responded to statements about “pressure” on local authorities.

The prosecutor’s office also asks the VACS to assign a bail of ₴50 million and an electronic bracelet to Yulia Tymoshenko.
