Literally CNS: “Under the guise of combating enemy propaganda, a regime is being formed under which access to communication becomes a variable and can be limited at any moment – without clear deadlines, criteria or public explanations.

This creates a state of constant uncertainty and demonstrates the authorities’ willingness to unilaterally restrict basic communication channels.”
Details: According to CNS insiders, the power structures of the occupied Crimea insist on expanding the practice of shutdowns in “inconvenient periods” — during shelling, high-profile events or growing social discontent.
According to them, the mobile Internet is considered a risk factor precisely because of the possibility of quick self-organization of the population, recording of abuses and dissemination of unofficial information.
Literally CNS: “In real terms, such restrictions lead to the degradation of social and economic infrastructure: access to emergency services, medicine, financial services and independent news sources becomes more difficult. In the conditions of TOT, shutting down the Internet turns from a technical measure into a tool of repressive and preventive policy.”
What preceded: The Internet in Crimea will be restricted until the end of the so-called “special military operation”, said Serhii Aksyonov, the so-called head of the occupied peninsula appointed by Russia.
