The Sumy region was again shelled by the occupiers. During the day of January 11, 2025, the enemy carried out 29 attacks on border areas and settlements, causing 57 explosions in several communities in the region. The Sumy Regional Military Administration informs about this, transmits UNN.

Details

Bilopol, Krasnopil, Velikopysariv, Esman and Shalygin communities were the most affected. The enemy used a variety of weapons including artillery, mortars, tanks, FPV drones and UAVs to drop ammunition.

Several attacks took place in the Velikopysarovsk community, including mortar fire, ammunition drops from drones, and artillery strikes that caused 18 explosions. The Krasnopil community was also heavily attacked – the enemy used FPV drones, mortars and drones, which caused 17 explosions.

Esman community came under shelling from tanks and drones, 13 explosions were recorded. Mortar strikes and dropping of ammunition from drones, which caused 7 explosions, were recorded in the Bilopol community. The Shalygin community was hit by an FPV drone and an unmanned aerial vehicle.
