The number of victims as a result of yesterday’s Russian airstrike in Kharkiv has increased to 21, the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov said.

Among them are three children. Terekhov clarified that one child is eight years old, and two more teenagers are 17.

“As of this morning, we have 21 victims of the nighttime terrorist shelling of the sleeping area of ​​Kharkiv. Almost half of them – ten – are people over 65 years old… Seven victims have been taken to a medical facility for medical assistance,” Terekhov wrote in a telegram.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that on the night of September 22, Russian forces with three FAB-500 fired at the Shevchenkiv district of Kharkiv and its suburbs.

“One of the munitions hit near the entrance of a residential high-rise building. 68 people were evacuated. Glazing and facades of seven apartment buildings, a preschool educational institution, as well as 21 cars were damaged,” the ministry said in a statement.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, firefighters extinguished four cars that were on fire, work was carried out to dismantle the destroyed structures of the entrance to the entrance of the 16-story building.
