In Ukraine, an MRI of the brain is prescribed by a doctor, taking into account a person’s condition or diagnosis. For such a diagnosis, the patient is referred. NSZU informs about this, writes UNN.

With a referral, the examination can be performed free of charge in institutions that have an appropriate contract for the NHSHU package and the CT scanner itself,

They noted that in Ukraine, both military and civilians have the right to a free examination under the Medical Guarantee Program along the same route:

– availability of referral;

– search for a medical facility;

– registration for examination.

However, if the case is not urgent, then waiting for the examination should be treated with understanding.

Finding out the address and contacts of institutions where you can get a brain MRI for free will help:

– contact center operator at number 16-77;

– you can also find such institutions on the NSZU website.

We will remind

From January 1, 2025, NSHU will be able to enter into contracts with medical facilities for up to three years instead of one. This will reduce the bureaucratic burden and improve financial planning for medical facilities.
