The next “Ramstein” will be held in Brussels in February – Pistorius, the Minister of Defense of Germany announced that the next “Ramstein” meeting will be held in Brussels before the Munich Conference. The future of the format will depend on the new US administration.”, — write on: unn.ua

The next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format will be held in Brussels before the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for February 14-16. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius, reports UNN with reference to Radio Liberty.

“The next meeting of the Contact Group on support for Ukraine should take place, as usual, a week before the Munich Security Conference in Brussels, when NATO’s defense ministers will gather there,” he said.

According to him, it remains to be seen what will happen to the Rammstein format after that, as it depends on the future US administration.

Earlier, after the 25th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov said that the next meeting of “Ramstein” could be held as early as February.

In Germany, the 25th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine was held on January 9, after a break of several months, at the Ramstein Air Base. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who presided over his last Rammstein-style meeting, announced an aid package worth about $500 million.
