According to the data Bloombergon the Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market, trading on January 10 ends at the level of 42 hryvnias and 5 kopecks per dollar.
“Demand exceeds supply. Among the sellers are mostly farmers and partially the National Bank. Buyers are importers of energy carriers, state-owned companies and retailers,” – informed analysts of the Ministry of Finance website as of 1:00 p.m.
On October 3, 2023, the rate moved for the first time since July 21, 2022. For more than 14 months, the official exchange rate was kept at the level of 36 hryvnias and 57 kopecks per dollar.
