During the broadcast of the ceremony, the organizers also talked about the changes in the rules of the award, the new nomination “Best new version” and the specifics of the current season of YUNA, which is the 15th anniversary.
Pavlo Shilko, co-founder and general producer of YUNA, said that the organizing committee initiated the special project “15 most influential artists in 15 years”. Ukrainian performers who will be included in this list will be selected by the award jury. Their names will be announced before the ceremony.
Representatives of partner companies spoke about cooperation with YUNA within the framework of the 15th ceremony: Valery Bondar, deputy chief executive director for strategic marketing communications and projects of MHP, and Boris Tsomaya, marketing director of RIEL.
YUNA co-founder Mohammad Zahoor congratulated the audience watching the announcement of the nominees. Ihor Panasov, director of development of the YUNA award, moderated the event.
Pavlo Shilko also talked about the social initiatives and charitable projects of YUNA this year.
Anna Marchenko, a representative of the company Deloitte Ukraine, which traditionally guarantees the transparency of voting, presented envelopes with the results of the jury’s voting in the 1st round in 12 nominations, which were opened during the broadcast of the event.
Ihor Panasov explained that the nominees in the category “Best song for the film” were selected without voting in the 1st round, since there were only 8 applicants. He also noted that in accordance with the regulations of YUNA, the managers of artists nominated for the awards “Best pop band”, “Best rock band”, “Best male artist” and “Best female artist” automatically entered the category “Best artist management”. The organizing committee will announce their names in a few days.
