The actress of the main role of the series of films “Mamma Mia” shared that she would not mind if two more popular blondes joined the cast. In her opinion, the producers should consider Sidney Sweeney and Sabrina Carpenter. Variety writes about it.

Since the third part of the film will have a certain time jump compared to the second part, it was discussed that Carpenter could play the adult daughter of the main character played by Seyfried. However, Amanda herself sees the singer in a different role.

“I love playing a mom, so I’d love to see Sophie with her kids. Maybe she has a cousin she hasn’t seen in a long time, and it could be Sabrina Carpenter. And then Sydney Sweeney could come along. There’s a bunch of girls who really want to be a part of it, and I’m all for it,” the actress said.

As for whether the musical will indeed get a third installment, Amanda Seyfried had a succinct answer:

“Maybe I’m just naive, but I’m sure Mamma Mia 3 is a done deal.”

The words of the actress were confirmed by producer Judy Kramer, who made it clear that the script for the comedy has already been written. In turn, Amanda shared several details of the plot of the third part.

“I just know the three dads are going to come back and we’re not going to find out which one is the father anyway, because it doesn’t matter. Meryl (Streep) is a ghost, so of course she’s going to be there. And Julie (Walters) and Christine (Baranski) are going to come back and sing and look hot and we’re all going to be in the tropics. And ABBA will be playing,” she said.

Despite the encouraging statements of the actress, there was no official announcement about the continuation of “Mamma Mia” yet.

Recently, a teaser of another long-awaited sequel – the comedy “The Devil Wears Prada” was released.
