The mobilization of students, scientists and teachers is not foreseen – the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine

On January 23, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi, stated that the authorities have no plans to mobilize students, scientists and teachers.

“No mobilization of students, graduate students, scientists, scientific-pedagogical, pedagogical workers who have the right to postponement in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization” is foreseen. There are no discussions and discussions on this issue at the government level. Any contradictions that may arise in by-laws or other documents initiated by the central executive authorities regarding this issue will be settled in accordance with the current law on mobilization,” Lisovyi wrote on Facebook.

On May 18, 2024, the law on mobilization entered into force. Among other things, it provides that all conscripts, conscripts and reservists aged 18 to 60 must update their data. You can update the data in the “Rezerv+” mobile application.

The legislation of Ukraine provides for the mobilization of conscripts aged 25 to 60.
