““There is no need for any speculation: our state is not preparing to lower the mobilization age. Based on the new contractual approaches, we should gradually move to the formation of the army more through contracts, and not only through mobilization.””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to the head of state, there are no plans to lower the mobilization age in Ukraine, and those who have not reached this age will be offered a new system of contracts for service in the army.
“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the military command must present to our society a new system of contracts for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for citizens who have not reached the age of mobilization, but want to show themselves in the best way in the defense of Ukraine. These contracts will have a tangible, very specific motivational component,” the president said.

Last month, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Leshchenko, said that American politicians from both parties are putting pressure on President Zelensky on the question of why there is no mobilization of those aged 18 to 25 in Ukraine.
At the same time, according to him, the president “continues to convince politicians from both parties to give weapons without changing the conscription age.”
At that time, Zelenskyi stated that mobilization from the age of 18 is not yet foreseen in Ukraine.
On May 18, the law on mobilization entered into force. Among other things, it provides that all conscripts, conscripts and reservists aged 18 to 60 must update their data. You can update the data in the “Rezerv+” mobile application.
The legislation of Ukraine provides for the mobilization of conscripts aged 25 to 60.
