Ukraine demands that Russia immediately return the kidnapped residents of the village of Grabovskoe.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga made such a statement on his page in X.
He noted that the Russian occupiers kidnapped five dozen civilians, mostly elderly women, from the village of Grabovskyi.
“With such medieval attacks, Putin’s Russia demonstrates that it is no different from terrorist groups such as ISIS, Boko Haram or Hamas. We demand the return of our civilian hostages. These fifty people and thousands of other civilians forcibly deported to Russia, including Ukrainian children,” he wrote.
The statement says that Ukraine calls on all states and international organizations to join the demand for the release of innocent civilians abducted from their homes. He added that this war crime is already being prosecuted in Ukraine and “must receive an appropriate reaction at the international level as well.”
“It also emphasizes the constant threat of living next to Russia. This is why Ukraine needs real, lasting peace. Living next to terrorists requires strength and reliable security guarantees,” he summarized.
Abduction of people from GrabovskogoAs UNIAN wrote, on December 21, Russian troops crossed the border in the Sumy region and took away more than 50 civilians. As a result of the offensive, Ukrainian defenders withdrew from several positions near the village. Stabilization actions are ongoing.
Analysts of the DeepState monitoring project noted that the village is currently in a gray zone. They assumed that the breakthrough of the Russians became possible due to the irresponsibility of the military, which was responsible for the defense of the direction. In particular, they provided their own weapons to local residents and were indifferent to enemy surveillance drones flying into the village.
The military called the removal of civilians from Grabovsky a provocation. And an attempt to enter the village looks like a local breach of the border.
