The Ministry of Defense did not sell contracts for UAH 51 billion – the Center for Combating Corruption

The Executive Director of the Center for Combating Corruption Daria Kaleniuk reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has not yet received weapons under contracts worth more than UAH 51 billion. The Executive Director of the Center for Combating Corruption Daria Kaleniuk reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has not yet received weapons under contracts worth more than UAH 51 billion. The obligations on them were concluded during 2022-2023.

“Today is the amount of UAH 51 billion. This is delayed receivables. The Ministry of Defense. Kaleniuk told.

The expert added that the vast majority of funds from UAH 51 billion was withdrawn abroad. Instead, weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces on these contracts were not supplied to Ukraine.

“The Ministry of Defense did not even manage to provide us with the claims they filed to repay the money spent. These funds were deducted mainly abroad, but the weapons were not received under contracts,” Kaleniuk summed up.

We will remind, in 2024 the Ministry of Defense concluded two defense contracts with Ukrainian producers for almost UAH 5 billion.
