“The Ministry of Defense answered when there will be a draft law on terms of service. The First Deputy Minister of Defense emphasized that there are no other options.”, — write on: unn.ua
This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Gavryliuk during the Question Hour for the Government in the Verkhovna Rada, reports the correspondent UNN.
Details
Gavrylyuk commented on whether you plan to submit a law on terms of service to the Council on March 25.
The “hour of questions to the Government” is being held for the third time, and the same question is being asked for the third time. The question is simple and the answer to it is very simple: when units capable of replacing those fighting at the front will be prepared, then a corresponding bill will be adopted. The second option simply does not exist. I repeat once again – it does not exist!
Addition
On January 10, Havryliuk reported that the draft law on demobilization had been developed and was almost ready to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, but it would take another 3 months to work out the implementation mechanisms.
People’s Deputy, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko stated that discussions are underway regarding the demobilization of the military, but under the current conditions of mobilization, it is unlikely. Currently, more attention is being paid to the rotation of units that are on the first line.
