Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Espen Bart Eide arrived in the capital of Ukraine on an official visit.
This was announced by the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Andriy Sybiga, on the X social network.
He noted that he is glad to welcome his Norwegian colleague to Kyiv on this cold winter day.
The arrival of the high-ranking official was a continuation of the active political dialogue between Ukraine and Norway, which remains dynamic despite the difficult security situation in Europe.
During the visit, negotiations between Eide and Sybiga are expected, as well as a meeting with the leadership of the Ukrainian state.
The main topics will be further support for Ukraine, military aid, restoration of destroyed infrastructure and increased sanctions pressure on Russia.
Particular attention is planned to be paid to humanitarian programs in which Norway takes an active part, as well as to cooperation in the field of energy security.
We will remind, Norway will allocate another $46 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Norway will also help restore the Ukrainian energy system.
