The plane from Szijjarto did not land in Bosnia and Herzegovina / facebook.com/szijjarto.peter.officialThe Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, refused to give permission for the Hungarian military plane, which was carrying the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, to land at the Banja Luka airport.
The head of the defense department announced this decision in a post on Facebook.
“I refused to give permission for the Hungarian military plane to land at the Banja Luka airport, where the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijártó was supposed to arrive,” he said.
Helez emphasized that for years Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Minister Szijjártó have openly supported the former president of the administrative part of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska) Milorad Dodik in his actions that undermine the sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, according to him, the Hungarian side did not provide any clear explanation why the Minister of Foreign Affairs is arriving by military plane.
“As the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is my duty to protect the constitutional order, laws and interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, I have decided not to approve this flight until full transparency and respect for our state is ensured,” Helez explained.
Sijarto and Ukraine – the latest statementsAs UNIAN reported, Szijarto previously stated that Hungary plans to direct its share from the “European Peace Fund” to finance the Lebanese army, and not for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He told Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Youssef Raghi that Hungary’s national security interest is peace in the Middle East, and Lebanon’s stability plays a key role in that.
In particular, we are talking about 1.5 million euros to support the armed forces of Lebanon.
