The MFA discussed the European integration of Ukraine with the ambassadors of the EU states

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Maryana Betsa discussed Ukraine’s accession to NATO and the European Union, the strengthening of sanctions against Russia and the use of frozen Russian assets with the delegation of the EU Committee on Political and Security Affairs. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Maryana Betsa discussed Ukraine’s accession to NATO and the European Union, the strengthening of sanctions against Russia and the use of frozen Russian assets with the delegation of the EU Committee on Political and Security Affairs.

This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that the ambassadors of all the member states of the European Union to the PBC, who were part of the delegation, confirmed the EU’s unwavering support for Ukraine and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

Betsa informed about the security situation in Ukraine in the context of the ongoing Russian war of aggression, and also dwelled in detail on the issue of the implementation of the Peace Formula as a single effective plan for achieving a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace.

The deputy minister also separately emphasized the importance of supporting the Victory Plan: “Ukraine firmly stands on the position that any other peace initiatives that do not provide for the restoration of the territorial integrity of our state are unacceptable.”

Betsa expressed gratitude to the EU for its active support of the Peace Formula and emphasized the importance of increasing the number of countries, in particular the so-called Global South, involved in its implementation.

The ministry informed that during the meeting, the parties discussed Ukraine’s accession to NATO and the EU, strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation and holding Moscow accountable for crimes committed, as well as the use of frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

The PBC delegation expressed full support for Ukraine and readiness to provide military, financial, economic and humanitarian assistance as much as needed.
